Sierra Nevada is a well known
paragliding destination. Its southerly location,
dry air and high mountains (the highest is Mulhacen
- 3482m) combine to give great flying conditions
most of the year.
The warm summer evenings and
still mornings offer great learning conditions
for beginners and the hot summer days offer thrilling
thermic flying with high cloud bases.
There are
a good range of paragliding services based around
Güéjar Sierra. Courses, tandem flights
and guiding for autonomous pilots are all available. |
